The designer, who showcased a boho chic 1970s-inspired look for the new age fashion followers at Lakme Fashion Week summer-resort 2015, was excited about the addition in her offerings.

"I have added footwear for the collection, and this is the first time I am doing this as part of my collection," Mehta told IANS here.

The footwear is made out of fabric.

What urged her to create the footwear line?

"One day, I just made one piece and put it on photo-sharing site Instagram and it went viral. So I thought that's good idea to start the collection."

Her footwear range has been priced at Rs.4,500.
