Beijing, Oct 21: China today launched two satellites, including a Sino-Brazilian satellite for detecting earth resources, from the Taiyuan launch centre in the northern province of Shanxi, the state media reported. The launch of the Sino-Brazilian joint satellite and a small communication satellite belonging to the China Academy of Sciences took place at 11:16 am (8:46 am IST) using a `long march IV B` carrier rocket, Xinhua news agency said.
The lifting off comes after China`s first manned space flight, the Shenzhou V, returned safely to earth last Thursday after a 21-hour flight that orbited the earth 14 times.
