Jammu, Aug 10: 'Charri mubarak' (the holy mace of Lord Shiva), similar to the one taken to cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir, left Dashnami Akhara in Poonch town this morning for Budha Amarnath Temple at Rajpura-Mandi. Carried by hundreds of sadhus and devotees, covering a distance of 25-kms on foot, the ‘charri mubarak’ will reach Budha Amarnath Temple by evening and will be kept for darshan tomorrow and on August 12, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, J S Pachnanda.

He said that arrangements for the Budha Amarnath yatra have been finalised at a joint meeting of district, BSF, army officers and representatives of Budha Amarnath Trust at Rajpura-Mandi in the district yesterday.

Besides four control rooms have been set up by police and army authorities at Bhimber Gali, Surankote, Poonch and Mandi for the convenience of the yatries, Pachnanda said.
Fool proof security arrangements have also been made with the coordination from army, BSF and police on national highway at Rajpura-Mandi.

Adequate arrangements for providing drinking water, health services, electricity and establishment of control rooms for the yatris have also been given final touches.

The management committee of Shree Budha Amarnath Ji and various non-governmental and social organizations would be arranging free langar on the occasion, he said, adding about 40,000-50,000 pilgrims are expected to pay their obeisance at Budha Amarnath Temple.
In the same way as the pilgrimage to the cave shrine of Amarnath, this yatra is also taken with carrying of ‘charri mubarak’ from Poonch to the years old Budha Amarnath at Rajpura Mandi.
