Kochi, Aug 18: Even though India's cricket test series with Australia is three months away, Sachin Tendulkar has already starting worrying the Aussies with captain Steve Waugh today admitting that his bowlers found it very tough to dismiss the master blaster.
"India has very good individual players and Sachin Tendulkar is a great batsman known world over. He is very hard to get out," Waugh told reporters here.
The test skipper however denied that his bowlers targeted individual players and said it was just that they worked out a plan for specific players.
"We have plans for every player and that sometimes works out but great players overcome that. They can change the game and improvise. Sachin can do that," said Waugh who was here as the brand ambassador for Amp Sanmar assurance.
Waugh, who does not figure in Australia's one-day team, said the triseries between India, New Zealand and Australia in October-November would be a close affair as all the teams are capable of pulling off a win on their day.

Waugh, who is enjoying a purple patch and is now the world's most successful captain, said success has not come to him "straightaway".

"It took me 17 matches to get my first hundred. But it was a different era and it was the time when the selectors had lot of faith in the players. We were given time to find our feet."

Having vindicated himself by scoring centuries at a time when critics were trying to write him off, the 37-year-old Waugh said, "I know what I am capable of. I have played to the best of my ability and I am enjoying the challenge".
