Sardana, Sisodia take over as DCA, banking secretaries
New Delhi, July 07: M M K Sardana today took over as company affairs secretary, while N S Sisodia assumed the office of banking secretary.

Sardana, a 1968 batch IAS officer of West Bengal cadre,
was special secretary in Power Ministry before his new
assignment.
He replaces V K Dhall, who has been appointed as a member in the competition commission.
Sisodia, who was secretary in charge of defence production, replaces Vineeta Rai.
Rai has been elevated to the post of revenue secretary in the Finance Ministry.
The new appointment was part of the a bureaucratic reshuffle announced last week including appointment of Ajay Prasad, officer on special duty to Deputy Prime Minister, as defence secretary, and Dhirendra Singh, special secretary in the Defence Ministry, being elevated as disinvestment secretary.
Disinvestment secretary S S Meenakshi Sundaram has been made member, Atomic Energy Commission and Space Commission.
R R Shah, information technology secretary, has been shifted as secretary of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, while K K Jaswal, statistics and programme implementation secretary, was made IT secretary.
Adarsh Kishore, additional secretary in the Economic Affairs Department has been made secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in place of Jaswal.
S P Arya, at present adviser, Planning Commission, has been given the post of secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs succeeding B S Baswan, who has been made social justice and empowerment secretary. Bureau Report
