Mine blast toll rises to 22 in central China
Beijing, Nov 26: The death toll in the coal mine gas explosion in central China`s Henan province last Saturday has reached 22 with the recovery of four more bodies, a report said today.

said today.
One miner is missing in the accident, while 17 others are
recovering from their injuries.
The explosion took place at the Sundian coal mine in Xiaotun town of Ruzhou city. A total of 57 miners were working underground at that time.
The coal mine was opened in 1984, with legal permits and it had an annual production capacity of 90,000 tonnes.
Following the accident, the city has closed all the coal mines in the vicinity pending safety checks.
