Accountancy group Arthur Andersen said on Tuesday it would dismiss David Duncan, the lead company partner responsible for the accounting at bankrupt energy group Enron. Andersen on Tuesday said that it will dismiss the lead partner on its Enron engagement and is placing three other partners responsible for the engagement on administrative leave, it said in a statement. "The actions were taken based on preliminary facts relating to Andersen's inquiry into the disposal of documents related to the engagement," the group said.
Arthur Andersen said it also was placing new people in charge of its Houston office, where four partners were relieved of their management responsibilities. Bureau Report
