New Delhi, Sept 23: Following up her gesture of sending a bouquet to ailing BSP leader Kanshi Ram undergoing treatment in a hospital here, Congress President Sonia Gandhi today met him and enquired about his health. Gandhi, who was in the hospital for nearly an hour, wished the BSP leader speedy recovery. Gandhi spoke to Mayawati, who was present there, and enquired about Ram's health. After Kanshi Ram was hospitalised last week following a brain stroke, the Congress president had sent a bouquet to him and spoken to Mayawati over telephone and enquired about his health. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit also visited the hospital to see the ailing BSP leader. She was accompanied by Delhi Transport Minister Ajay Maken. Meanwhile, a press release issued by the hospital said that there was an overall improvement in Kanshi Ram's health and the life support system had been removed. His condition is stable and all vitals were normal.
