St Petersburg, June 18: The long-pending deal for the acquisition of 40,000 tonner Admiral Gorshkov Aircraft Carrier for the indian navy is expected to be signed soon, Russian sources said here. Both sides have now adopted a more flexible approach in the price negotiations, the sources said on the sidelines of a ceremony here to induct stealth frigate "INS Talwar" into Indian Navy.

Indian Naval Chief Admiral Madhavendra Singh, who inducted the frigate, said actual negotiations on Gorshkov were still going on. "I know Russian side wants to give gorshkov to us. I know, Indian Navy wants Gorshkov. In negotiations both sides need to be happy," Admiral Singh said.
