Barcelona, Dec 08: England captain David Beckham rated Real Madrid's rare win over Barcelona at the Nou Camp as one of the biggest games he had ever played in.
Beckham played an instrumental part in Real's 2-1 win over the old enemy Saturday night which ended their frustrating 20 year search for a Spanish League win in the Catalan capital.
Goals either side of half time from Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo earned Real their historic result in front of 93,000 fans with Barcelona's lone goal coming from Patrick Kluivert.
Beckham, who had turned down an offer to play for Barcelona in the summer, said: "I know how important this game was for the Real supporters. We felt it all week leading up to the game so we realise how important it is.
"It’s one of the biggest games I've played in."

Beckham, whose only previous visit to the Nou Camp came four years ago when he won the Champions League with Manchester United, reflected: "Last time I was here it was different. Coming back here as a Real player and winning is just as sweet.

"It’s been 20 years since we won here in the league so it's very good for me to come here and win this game."

For Barca the result was made all the more difficult to bear as two players who had ditched them in favour of Real conspired in their downfall, with Luis Figo, who had had a pig's head thrown at him the last time he set foot in the stadium, setting up another 'traitor' Ronaldo for Real's second goal, a close range strike in the 73rd minute.
