New York, Oct 21: Nelly reworks his biggest hits and throws in two new tracks on "Da Derrty Versions (The Reinvention)," due Nov. 25 via Universal. First single "Iz U" was produced by Jay E and appropriates the beat from the theme song for the TV show "The People's Court." The cut debuted at No. 77 on Billboard's current Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and will also appear in the upcoming Eddie Murphy film "The Haunted Mansion."
"It's strictly for fun," Nelly says of the 16-track album. "I'm not trying to gain anything from it. We wanted to redo some joints that we thought that people helped made classics to us."

The set finds a bevy of new guest artists and producers revamping Nelly's repertoire. "Country Grammar" now features rapper E-40, while Nelly interpolates John Mayer's "No Such Thing" into a new version of "Ride Wit Me." St. Lunatics member Ali has been added to "Dilemma," which also features Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland.

David Banner has recast "Air Force Ones" as a more rock-leaning track. "Pimp Juice" now features a guest spot by Ronald Isley and "#1" boasts appearances by Clipse and Postaboy. Nelly also showcases artists signed to his Derrty Entertainment label, such as Ali, Chocolate Tai, King Jacob, Prentiss Church and Tru, on "Batter Up."
"Da Derrty Versions" comes on the heels of 2002's "Nellyville," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 5.9 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The artist recently logged time at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Shake Ya Tailfeather," which features P. Diddy and Murphy Lee. Bureau Report
