Srinagar, Apr 10: Ruling Peoples Democratic Party candidate from Srinagar parliamentary constituency Ghulam Nabi Lone today termed his main opponent and National Conference president Omar Abdullah as a part time Kashmiri. "Omar Abdullah lacks even basic familiarity with Kashmir, doesn't know the culture, customs or language of Kashmir. He, along with his father Farooq Abdullah, is only a part time Kashmiri," Lone said addressing election meetings at Surasyar and Poanzan in central Kashmir Budgam district. He said Omar was used as a spokesman by the BJP-led NDA government to "denigrate Kashmiris”.
"Omar enjoyed his position as a show boy of the BJP during his tenure as the minister of state in the union council of ministers and he would be taken along by the Prime Minister on his visit to Muslim countries," Lone said.
