Sonepat, Sept 24: Uttar Pradesh police has taken into custody a resident of Modinagar for interrogation over the alleged murder of Prasad Gupta, president of the Haryana Pradesh Halwai Union.

Gupta, a Sonepat-resident was found murdered in Garh
Mukteshwar by some unidentified robbers on Saturday last,
police said.
The body was cremated here yesterday in the presence a large number of well-wishers including the leaders of the political parties, social and voluntary organisations and trade unions.
When he did not return in the evening, his relatives called the management of the Dharamshala Garh and were told that he had not reached there.
Police later recovered his body along the railway line.
