Kuala Lumpur, Sept 24: With the sporting relations between bitter rivals India and Pakistan showing signs of improvement, top hockey officials from both the countries will meet here today to discuss on resumption of bilateral ties which have been stalled since 1999.
Indian Hockey Federation secretary general K Jothikumaran and his Pakistani counterpart Brig Musarrat Ullah Khan will hold wide-ranging talks, aimed at resuming one-to-one matches between the Asian giants, on the sidelines of the the sixth Asia Cup tournament here.
"Yes they are meeting tomorrow but we are not revealing any other details -- regarding the venue for the meeting or the programme -- due to security reasons," sources in the Malaysian Hockey Federation told reporters here yesterday.
The officials were earlier scheduled to hold talks in August at Amstelveen, Holland during the Champions Trophy but the meeting had to be postponed as the marketing agent of the IHF could not reach the country on time to attend the same.

Malaysia and Singapore have said they are willing to host India-Pakistan matches which are always a great draw because of the quality of hockey on display.

"We are willing to host India and Pakistan and hoping that a positive decision will be taken at the meeting tomorrow," Malaysia Hockey Federation sources said.
