Barring the naxalite prone area of Chhattissgarh, no major problem of security was apprehended during the December 1 polls, Swamy told reporters here.
He said that sufficient para-military force has been deployed in Chhattisgarh's naxalite prone areas.
"If any state demands more (para-military personnel), the Centre would immediately rush them," he said.
Expressing his concern over the burgeoning number of madrasas in the border districts of Rajasthan, the minister said, the state government should take over the entire madrasa system and supervise their activities, specially the educational aspect.
"If the Rajasthan government could arrest VHP's international general secretary Praveen Togadia in violation of the arms act, why the government is not probing the alleged ISI links of a Rajasthan minister's relatives," he asked.
He suggested that after the elections, the state governments should modernise their police departments for which the Centre would provide 75 per cent contribution.
