Mumbai, Nov 02: Security in and around Mumbai has been tightened as the city gets set to welcome the heir to the British throne Prince Charles on his three-day visit to the metropolis beginning November 03. A heavy posse of police personnel have been deployed in and around the places where the Prince is scheduled to visit. Mobile patrolling vans would also be stationed around the area to monitor the law and order situation.

The royal heir would be arriving to the city on November 03 and is scheduled to visit HMS Kent, a frigate, which would be in the city to undertake joint exercises with the Indian Navy, according to sources at the British High Commission. The Prince would be met by the first sea lord, Admiral Sir Alan West and Commander Simon Harden RN, commanding officer HMS Kent, they said.

On November 04, Charles would also interact with it experts during a seminar organised by NASSCOM. He would discuss the commercial and it links between UK and India during the interaction.

Having evinced keen interest in the film industry, the royal visitor, would also meet Bollywood personalities, including Ketan Mehta, Yash Chopra, Manmohan Shetty, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherjee and UK actor Toby Stevens involved with the film "The Rising". Prince Charles was likely to give the muhurat shot for the film which revolves around Mangal Pandey, an Indian Sepoy and William Gordon a British Army officer and is set in the backdrop of the 1857 uprising, according to industry sources.
