Pakistan`s foreign ministry on Thursday said it could make no comment on a decision by Afghan clerics to recommend Osama bin Laden leave their country, saying it needed to see details of the edict.
Pakistan's foreign ministry on Thursday said it could make no comment on a decision by Afghan clerics to recommend Osama bin Laden leave their country, saying it needed to see details of the edict.
''Once we receive an authoritative version we will be in a position to understand its implications,'' foreign ministry spokesman Riaz Mohammad Khan told a news conference.
''We are not sure as to the followup of any verdict as...They have their own ways,'' he said without elaborating.
He refused to comment when asked whether Pakistan would take in bin Laden, wanted as the prime suspect in the devastating attacks last week on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington in which nearly 6,000 people were killed.
