CBSE-PMT leak case: Police remand of accused extended
New Delhi, May 07: A Delhi court today extended by one day the police remand of AIPMT question paper leak case accused and MBBS student Nikhil Mehrotra even as police prayed the court to initiate proceedings to declare absconding director of Sachdeva Tutorials Sudhir Sachdeva a proclaimed offender.

Metropolitan magistrate Shahbuddin also remanded another accused in the case Parimal Thakur to 14-day judicial custody.
The court extended the police remand of Mehrotra after police claimed that Mehrotra had disclosed during interrogation that he had stayed with the main accused Ranjit Varma in a hotel in Nizamuddin a day prior to the exam.
On Sachdeva, police told the court that the NBW issued against him had returned unexecuted and prayed that proceedings be initiated to declare him a proclaimed offender.
