Akola, Maharashtra, Apr 03: It was an "abduction" story with a difference. Only, that it was done by a woman dressed as a man for the love of another girl. Yeotmal-based Suraj Shukla, allegedly dressed up as a man and posed as a security guard at a local bank to lure away his lady love, Swati. According to police, Shukla and Swati, in her teens, eloped from Chandrapur to Nagpur to get married. Police, however, found them roaming around in the city in a suspicious manner. On interrogation, Shukla broke down and confessed that "he" was not a man but a woman. Swati's parents had reportedly lodged a complaint with the police after they discovered her absence five days ago.
