The Centre has declared 10 towns of Haryana as most sensitive and vulnerable for putting the civil defence machinery on the alert in the wake of a war. P K Mehta, inspector general and deputy director civil defence, stated this at a demonstration relating to the civil defence purpose organised.
He said the towns put on alert include Ambala, Hisar, Gurgaon, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Faridabad, Panipat and Rohtak.
Stating that the holding of civil defence demonstration was the first attempt of the like in the district, he appealed to social and voluntary organisations to extend their cooperation with the civil defence machinery in the event of a war. Bureau Report
