Los Angeles: "Carol", a Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara starrer film about a relationship between two women of different age groups, on Thursday bagged a maximum of five nominations for the 73rd Golden Globe Awards. Interestingly, the two leading ladies are competing against each other for the Best Actress trophy.

"Carol" also finds a mention in the Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director - Motion Picture (Todd Haynes) and Best Original Score - Motion Picture (Carter Burwell) categories.
