Islamabad, Feb 20: A Pakistani Air Force plane carrying 17 people, including military officials and crew members, crashed today in a remote region of northwestern Pakistan, a senior air force official said. It was not immediately clear if there were any casualties, said Sarfraz Ahmad.

Pakistani Air Force chief Mushaf Ali Mir was on board the Fokker transport plane, he said.

Rescue crews were sent to the site, about 250 kms northwest of Islamabad.
“We don`t know whether there are any casualties, and we have sent people to the site,`` Ahmad said.
