Srinagar, Nov 07: In yet another attack on political activists, militants shot dead a ruling People's Democratic Party worker and former Jammu and Kashmir government's chief prosecution officer Zulfikar Ahmad in Anantnag district, official sources said here today. Militants barged into Ahmed's house last night and gunned him down, the sources said.


The victim has just returned from a mosque when the ultras struck, they said.

After retiring as chief prosecution officer, a rank equivalent to Superintendent of Police, Ahmad had joined PDP.
Militants shot dead national conference activist Ghulam Mohammad Reshi on Wedenesday and PDP local leader Ghulam Ahmad Ganai a day before.
