US, Nov 02: Web portal Myway.com, which had its debut last month, has its own solution for the slumping Internet ad market. Don`t use ads - at least not the ones that annoy web-surfers. Founder and Co-CEO Bill Daugherty said the company`s strategy is to use the best of the Internet. "We`ve got the Google search. We`ve got the functionality of a site like Yahoo. But we`ve taken away all of the annoying irritations that has become the Internet," he said. Internet ads, however, do generate revenue. So how will Myway.com make money without banners and pop ups? Myway.com will also be relying on a key partnership with Google. According to Daugherty, low overhead will help. The company only employs 157 people. But in the era of high price marketing and glitzy product rollouts, getting the word out may be Myway.com`s biggest hurdle. And given Myway`s low key debut, analysts don`t expect Yahoo to be looking over its shoulder anytime soon.
