Four people, including two militants and a soldier, were killed and three jawans injured in the Kashmir Valley on Thursday night.
An official spokesperson said two militants and a jawan were killed in an encounter during a search operation at Sheikhgund Achabal village in Anantnag district on Thursday night. Three jawans were wounded in the clash that lasted about four hours. Three houses and a cow shed were also damaged, he said and added that two a k rifles, six magazines and two grenades were recovered. Militants abducted and later killed a person in the frontier district of Kupwara late on Thursday night.
