Islamabad, Oct 04: Pakistan Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider said there was possibility of some 'odd incidents' but ruled out major terrorist threats during the elections. In an interview to the nation and Nawa-i-Waqt on Thursday, Haider said the government had chalked out a contingency plan to thwart any attempt by terrorists to disrupt the election process. The army would not be deployed but it would stand by to help provide assistance in case of any serious law and order problem. Sensitive areas had been marked and rangers would be deployed in Karachi while police would be responsible for maintaining peace in other polling stations, he said. Bureau Report
