Hyderabad, May 11: Congress Legislature Party will be meeting here tomorrow to elect its leader with Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy tipped to be the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Senior Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad and Shivraj Patil are arriving this evening who will supervise the crucial meeting, party sources said.
The clear mandate in favour of Congress in the 294-member house makes the task of central observers easy.
Congress has aligned with TRS and Left parties for the first time in the state. Though the Congress TRS tie-up appears to be working well in Telengana, indications of overwhelming support to Congress from coastal Andhra gives the party a clear edge to form the government on its own.
