UP`s final electoral rolls to be published today
Lucknow, Mar 20: The Election Commission will publish the final electoral rolls in Uttar Pradesh today for the Lok Sabha elections.

elections.
Over 100 million voters would be included in the electoral list
which would be put up on public display of all the polling booths
from March 22 to 26.
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Vijay Sharma said all
arrangements for smooth publication of electoral rolls had been made
in all the 61 districts.
UP is the last state in the country to publish its electoral
rolls for the Lok Sabha polls.
Earlier, during a special drive to enroll the voters, about 34.05 lakh people had submitted form-6 between February 20 and March 5 for registering themselves in the electoral rolls.
For the first time, 130 assembly constituencies in the state would also have the provision of the electoral list in Urdu. These constituencies have more than 20 per cent Muslim population.
Presently the state has 10.84 crore strong electorate.
