TN, Pondy lawyers to continue protest
Nagapattinam, Dec 22: The members of the federation of district and subordinate courts Bar Associations of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry would continue their protest against the introduction of the legal services amendment act and CPC Amendment Act till their revocation.

This was stated by R M Viswanathan, president of the federation, in the general body meeting of the federation held here yesterday.
The above acts had greatly affected both the lawyers' community at large and the litigant public, he said. Thirumalairajan, secretary, welcoming the lawyers, said the amendment to section 29-b of the Consumer Protection Act was the first attack on lawyers.
