The Assam cabinet is likely to approve the formation of the Bodoland Territorial Council during its meeting on February 13.
The Bodoland Liberation Tigers on Sunday held discussions with the cabinet sub-committee on BTC which was formed by the government wherein a list of villages likely to be included in the council was submitted.
Bharat Narah, a state minister and also a member of the sub-committee, said that the government would now hold discussion with all parties concerned to determine the areas falling in the BTC.
The government had mooted the BTC which was an upgraded version of the existing Bodoland Autonomous Council comprising Bodo-dominated areas in lower Assam.
