Zurich, Oct 03: Nestle, the world's biggest food company, announced on Thursday the new heads of marketing and its Americas zone will take over next year when the veteran incumbents retire. Ed Marra, the head of Nestle’s Canadian business, will succeed Frank Cella as head of strategic business units and marketing at the turn of the year, the Swiss group said in a statement.

Paul Bulcke, now head of German operations, will replace Carlos Eduardo Represas as top executive in the Americas zone from July 1, ’04.
Cella will retire at the end of ’03 after more than four decades at Nestle. Marra has moved to corporate headquarters in Vevey to prepare for the handover on January 1, it said. Represas plans to take early retirement after more than 35 years with Nestle.
He will remain chairman of Nestle Mexico and a board member of ice cream unit Dreyer’s after his retirement.
Bulcke, who has more than 15 years of market experience in several Latin American countries, will take over the job gradually before officially moving in on July 1. Nestle stock, which has risen around 4% this year, edged up 0.3% to 305.50 Swiss francs by 0830 GMT in a firmer Swiss market. Bureau Report
