Mumbai, Dec 05: Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal yesterday flagged-off the MRF India Rally 2003, the fifth round of the Asia Pacific three-day Car Rally Championship (APRC) to be held at Pune from today.
Though the rally, with eleven cars manned by foreigners was flagged-off yesterday the actual rally will start from today.
Australia and New Zealand, both of whom enjoyed an enviable track record of producing world class rally drivers, will have a strong representation.
Karamjit Singh with co-driver Allen Oh Siew Sain of Malaysia and Nico Caldarola and co-driver Paolo Cecchini of Italy are also expected to do well in the rally.
