Srinagar, Aug 05: Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered an inquiry into the mysterious death of an employee of sheep husbandry department in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.

Agriculture and cooperative minister Abdul Aziz Zargar, who visited the residence of the deceased Abdul Rashid Sheikh yesterday, made the announcement about the inquiry and asked the deputy commissioner and SSP Anantnag to conduct a "thorough" inquiry into the incident and report within a month.
Sheikh's body was fished out from a river near Sangam in Anantnag district on Sunday. A resident of Manzgam-Kulgam, Sheikh had gone missing 11 days ago. The minister asked the district authorities to provide ex-gratia relief under rules to the bereaved family.
Zargar also asked them to provide ex-gratia relief to the family of one Mohammad Hussain of Halan-Manzgam who died after getting seriously injured in the collapse of a Kotha. Bureau Report
