New Delhi, May 20: US Secretary of State Colin Powell and British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw have complimented outgoing External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha on the way the Vajpayee government worked to take relations with the two countries to new heights. In farewell telephone calls by Powell yesterday and Straw on May 17, the two leaders also praised the functioning of Indian democracy.
Sinha also received a letter from Nepalese Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa thanking him for his contribution to enhancing bilateral relations.
