Vajpayee discusses cross-border terror with Wen
Beijing, June 23: Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today discussed the issue of Pakistan-backed cross border-terrorism with his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao and emphasised the need for its stoppage at the earliest.

During his hour-long interaction with Wen, the Prime Minister voiced concern over cross-border terrorism and the need for Pakistan, China's close ally in the region, to bring it to an end "as quickly as possible".
Briefing newspersons on the talks, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha said Vajpayee also expressed "our disappointment at the fact that this is not happening."
The Chinese premier, Sinha said, commended the hand of friendship extended by Vajpayee to Pakistan.
