New Delhi, July 03: Buoyed by the back to back title wins, hockey captain Dhanraj Pillay today predicted that India will make at least to the semi-finals in the Champions Trophy in Holland in August. "We will definitely make the semi-finals in the Champions Trophy," Pillay said.
"The boys have got the winning taste back. And players like Jugraj (Singh), Gagan (Ajit Singh), (Dilip) Tirkey and Devesh (Chauhan) did exceedingly well (in the Hamburg tournament)," Pillay told reporters after being felicitated by Minister of State for Sports, Vijay Goel here.
The veteran forward who led India to victories in back to back tournaments in Perth and Hamburg said the Indian team members were in peak physical fitness and can now compete with any team in the world.
"Even in the Sydney Olympics in 2000 we did well except in the match against Poland which stopped our progress to the last four stage," he said.
