Dhaka, Nov 14: At least three people were killed and over 200 fishermen went missing in the cyclone that hit coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Bodies of two fishermen were washed ashore yesterday while about 150 people still remained missing, media reports from southeastern Cox's Bazar said.
Crops of nearly one lakh acres of land were either fully or partially damaged in the cyclone, the reports said.
In southern Barisal district, about sixty fishermen were yet to be traced after the storm. One person was killed in the nearby island of Bhola while attempting to cross a river, reports said, adding several trawlers were missing in the coastal districts.
