New Delhi, July 06: Delhi has experienced the highest rainfall of 13 cm in the past two days after the arrival of the South-West monsoon. A record six cm rainfall was registered on the first day, July 4, in Delhi which received another seven cm rain yesterday, the highest so far, Dr Onkari Prasad of Indian Met Department said. With Delhiites experiencing high humidity levels, some respite can be expected with light showers likely later today, he said. A low pressure area has developed over the Bay of Bengal which might lead to a decrease in rainfall in UP, North-Eastern states, Bihar and West Bengal, he said.
Prasad said the monsoon so far has been good as it has evenly spread across the country. Bureau Report
