Ichalkaranji (Kolhapur), Nov 08: Hundreds of panic-stricken depositors of Kalpavruksha Marketing Finance Private Ltd, today flocked the company's city office to withdraw their deposits, following suicide by company director Santosh Surve. The Ichalkaranji branch of the company which has deposits to the tune of Rs two crore, has been closed for the past four days, triggering panic in the depositors, police said.
The Kolhapur branch of the company, which has deposits to the tune of Rs seven crore, has been closed for the past seven days.
Surve had shot dead his two daughters and wife before committing suicide at Koparde in thane district on November one.
Surve, who was working as a development director at Kalpavriksha, was facing an inquiry on charges of embezzlement of funds.
