Schumi rules the roost in FIA Championship list of drivers
London, Dec 02: The FIA just announced the names of the drivers who are officially registered for the 2004 Formula One World Championship.

Michael Schumacher will keep his 'number 1' on his Ferrari, since it is the tradition to give this number to the reigning world champion. On a more superstitious level, number 13 is left out like usual.
Jordan has not officially confirmed Nick Heidfeld for the 2004 season, even if the German will drive for the team during the next testing session at Jerez this week.

Names of drivers are subject to the granting of a Super Licence and to the agreement of the Contract Recognition Board.
In accordance with Article 58 of the 2004 Formula One Sporting Regulations, drivers may be nominated and/or changed until 16.00 hrs on March 4, 2004.
