Agartala, Sep 26: Security forces have arrested four insurgents of banned All Tripura Tiger Forces (ATTF) including a self-styled area commander of the outfit when six non-tribals returned unhurt from hideouts of the ultras, police said today. Police said that a joint team of police and CRPF during a raid last night at Mandai village of West Tripura district, noticed a Maruti van and a two-wheeler were moving in the area suspiciously. When challenged the passengers in the Maruti van tried to speed past from the spot while the rider of the two-wheeler abandoned the vehicle and tried to give a slip.

While passengers of the Maruti van were nabbed from the spot and the rider was caught after a chase and was identified as Jagadish Debbarma alias Gester Debbarma, a self-styled area commander of banned ATTF, police said. State home department announced cash rupees one lakh for providing clue to whereabouts of him, the sources said.
Police said that one .9 mm revolver, cash rupees 65,035 and some documents were recovered from his possession.
Three others including driver of the Maruti van are member of the banned outfit and they were involved in several subversive activities in the area, police said.
Meanwhile, six non-tribals, kidnapped from Dhumacherra village of Dhalai district on September 9 last returned unhurt from captivity of the insurgents last night, police said.
