Spurred by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's hiking BJP's stake in Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll by talking about its fallout on his government, the party on Monday said that it would draw up an organisational strategy for the state at a two-day meeting of central office bearers in Jodhpur from September 12. The meeting of central office bearers chaired by party president Jana Krishnamurthy in Jodhpur would prepare the organisational strategy for UP on the basis of the report by the top leadership of the party which had toured 403 assembly segments in the state, BJP general secretary Sunil Shastri told reporters in New Delhi on Monday.
Shastri said that Krishnamurthy, former president Kushabhau Thakre, who is in charge of UP, general secretaries Pyarelal Khandelwal, Narendra Modi and he himself who had extensively toured up would prepare a report for the Jodhpur meeting.
On the preparation of the electoral strategy for the state, he said that this would be charted out after the announcement of the poll schedule by the Election Commission.
Shastri said that central ministers, members of Parliament and senior party leaders would tour up covering all the districts by December 31.
He said that BJP undertook this exercise as part of its efforts to mobilise party cadres down to booth level.
