Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf arrived in Tehran Wednesday for talks with Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref on Afghanistan, the official IRNA news agency said. Pakistan and Iran are at odds over Pakistani support for U.S. strikes on Afghanistan which Tehran vehemently opposes. Iran is also opposed to the purist Taliban militia which Islamabad originally helped to gain power in Afghanistan. Musharraf is also due to visit Paris and London before flying to New York to attend United Nations General Assembly meetings. He is expected to meet Iran's moderate President Mohammad Khatami in New York, IRNA said.
