Nepal, China sign new air service agreement
Kathmandu, Sept 12: Nepal and China have signed an MoU and a new air service agreement to promote bilateral tourism and expand air links between Kathmandu and various cities of china.
Kathmandu, Sept 12: Nepal and China have signed an MoU and a new air service agreement to promote bilateral tourism and expand air links between Kathmandu and various cities of china.
The MoU was signed by Nepalese Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sarvendranath Shukla and Chinese Minister for General Administration of Civil Aviation Yang Yuanyuan.
The ASA and MoU provide for inter alia, multiple designation of airlines, additional intermediate and beyond points (Beijing and four other points), the national news agency reported quoting the Royal Nepalese Embassy in Beijing.
The agreements also provide room for the operation of Nepalese airlines flights to and from Lhasa and the establishment and utilisation of additional air routes.
An understanding has also been reached between the two countries to explore the possibility of operating flights to Mansarovar and Mt. Kailash in Tibet autonomous region of China from Kathmandu
