Diphu (Assam), Nov 23: Two Railway Police Force (RPF) constables were killed during a squabble and another constable injured in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

District deputy commissioner Bhaba Gogoi told PTI that the two constables had a squabble at Diphu railway station yesterday when one of them, Chanchal Debnath (35) hit the other, Sachindra Nath (40), with a rifle butt and pumped bullets into him.
Debnath then cleaned the barrel of his gun and shot himself dead, Gogoi said. Another constable Phani Bhusan Das who had tried to mediate between them also received bullet injuries.
The constables were part of a six-member RPF team accompanying a railway signal and telecom team on way to Dhansiri.

Senior civil and police officials had rushed to the site and investigations were on.
