Railway Recruitment Board exam postponed
New Delhi, Nov 18: Railway ministry has decided to postpone Group `D` written examinations conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board, Guwahati in view of the law and order situation and the forthcoming municipal polls in Assam.
New Delhi, Nov 18: Railway ministry has decided to postpone Group 'D' written examinations conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board, Guwahati in view of the law and order situation and the forthcoming municipal polls in Assam.
Assam had witnessed disturbances following local resentment about Bihari cornering jobs. The railway, however, made it clear that the exam was open to all who fulfilled minimum requirements.
Revised dates and venue for the examinations would be intimated to the candidates subsequently, railway spokesman said here today. Railway said that the candidates who had already appeared in the written examinations held on November 9 and 16 would not be required to appear again, as the examinations already held are valid.
