Dhaka, Sept 19: Attackers broke into the house of an opposition member in western Bangladesh and stabbed him to death, police said today. Sudhir Kumar Mukherjee, 83, a local leader of the main opposition Awami League Party, was left in a pool of blood after yesterday's attack in Jhenaidah town, 130 kilometers west of the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka. Mukherjee died en route to a hospital, a police official said on condition of anonymity. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
