New Delhi, Aug 21: A Samajwadi Party member today demanded a probe into allegations that a private television news channel had "instigated" the "lookalike" of Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha to enter the Parliament premises recently.
Raising the issue during the zero hour in the Rajya Sabha, SP member Rama Shanker Kaushik quoted a newspaper to say that a television news channel had under the pretext of making a serial instigated the "lookalike" to enter the Parliament house.
Stating that the news report may or may not be correct, Kaushik said as the matter was a security issue, it was the duty of the government to investigate it.
Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, however, pointed out that the issue was already being looked into by the Lok Sabha.
