Jogi resigns as Chhattisgarh CM
Raipur, Dec 04: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi submitted his resignation this evening to Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K M Seth after his party failed to retain power in the first elections to the state, Raj Bhawan sources told.

The Governor has advised Jogi to continue in office till
the next government is sworn in, the sources said.
The BJP has secured simple majority in the 90 member Assembly having won 48 seats so far.
The Congress got elected in 37 constituencies, the BSP won from two seats while the NCP also opened its account in the state with a lone victory.
The counting for Bijapur and kathghora is underway, election office sources said. Bureau Report
