Ayodhya, May 1: Animal figure terracota pieces, a broken bead and stones of different shapes were among 15 articles found today during excavation being carried out by the Archaelogical Survey of India here, sources said. Broken bangle pieces, a disc shaped terracota, iron nails and small bone pieces were also found during digging undertaken in 12 trenches situated in the west and south of the makeshift temple, they said.
As many as 170 labourers including 44 Muslims were engaged in digging today.
The ASI in carrying out excavation on the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid area to ascertain if the demolished structure was built on a temple.
